ZEBRO'S HARBOR HOUSE
“What you don’t know WILL hurt you”
I hear from a lot of people who find it easy to put down their hometown of Erie. But every week we find more reasons why this region is great. Our ride this week was breath taking and set the bar high.
We rolled out at six but this week I cannot review the exact route Big Rick took, since I had to peel off the pack in Wattsburg and get gas on my lounge chair with wheels (Honda ST1100). What I can tell you is that the route I took was refreshing and energizing. Seeing the natural landscape of the countryside, smelling everything in the air and having the wind in your face reminded me of how good life can be and if you read my last review of the Honda ST1100, I almost made the heading this week ‘Retired’.
After I gassed up I headed east on route 474 out of Wattsburg and then headed north on 76 in New York. Route 76 has some great winding roads and spiced things up versus the long straight roads of 474. Once I got close to the lake I made my way to our destination, Zebro’s Harbor House in Barcelona, NY.
This place is right on the beach and had a live band this evening. The view of the lake and sunset while ordering dinner leaves me breathless almost a week later. The weather was beyond something you would find in the south or the tropics, mild with blue skies and a perfect breeze. The food was impeccable at the Harbor House and I would recommend the Duck. I didn’t realize until I ordered they had all-you-can-eat crab legs.

This Wednesday was somewhat unique as it was the kick off for our Ride-A-Day, which was one of the events in our Grand Opening Celebration. I would also like to thank all the new riders for joining us and look forward to next week.
