TWO FRIENDS PIZZERIA
Spring is here, get out and Ride
SPRING (Spring’/) noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English springan; akin to Old High German springan to jump and perhaps to Greek sperchesthai to hasten
Date: before 12th century
: a time or season of growth or development; specifically : the season between winter and summer comprising in the northern hemisphere usually the months of March, April, and May or as reckoned astronomically extending from the March equinox to the June solstice
What the real definition of spring is, comes from the guys on this weeks Ride N Dine Club ride. While short on riders we are all reminded that Spring is a time of nats, bees, flies and rocks from the rock find their way into the path of our head as we cruise along enjoying natures beauty and ride into Erie breath taking sunset.
A little late hitting the road this week as Big Rick is the hot commodity for our sales team, but finally hit the road around 6:15. It appeared precipitation could have come at any second, but the big guys up stairs must have been a rider too, because the weather was perfect on our route.
We took the well traveled Lake Erie Loop run, east bound on Route 20 into New York state and back Route 5 to peer over our right mirrors at the teal colored lake. Our dining destination was in the heart of town at Two Friends Pizzeria on State Street.
Cycle City is a familiar face at Two Friends and there is a reason, their pizzas and pastas just have that unique taste that we can’t say no to. Both Joe’s really provide first class service and products. The pizza and salad buffet laid out for our guys was fresh and varied. Only wish we would have had a few more riders to help, but since we didn’t Rick and I polished off a pizza each to keep status quo. If you are downtown for an event, bike night, ball game or just want to try something new swing in there and you will not be disappointed. Their pizza style is very New Yorker, thin and greasy (in a good way).
Still rolling along on the Suzuki M50, I’ve come an admirer of this unit. When a guy in a HD Night Train pulls up next to me at a light on 6th street and tells me the thing sounds awesome and the lines are aggressive, then I have to think Suzuki hit this model out of the park. Plus keep in mind those Night Train boys are a unique bunch (liking everything blacked out, just like this M50). One thing I wish this bike had along with other import brands is self-canceling signals. I know, I know… before everyone sends me a million emails I will just suck it up and live with it.
We hope to see you on our next Cycle City Ride N Dine Club ride this upcoming Wednesday. There is no membership needed, all you need to do is show up at the shop and we ride from there.
